OWMCL is a community of white men who turn energy into action for social justice.
But what does that mean?
We all need to be in the work for collective liberation. The white supremacist, capitalist, imperialist patriarchy ask us to join the cause in oppressing our siblings, neighbors, and friends whether they’re black or brown or indigenous or women or trans or queer, and especially if they carry multiple targeted identities.
We know there is a cost to these systems. Whether we participate or we refuse. We’re supposed to cause harm to ourselves and the people around us. Our stake in collective liberation from oppression is our own freedom from these systems.
Our work in OWMCL is to bring white men into the work for collective liberation.
With this in mind, we develop liberatory forms of masculinity and whiteness and challenge the systems of supremacy that cause harm to all of us while building a community to fortify us in the work.
Our Terrain
Skill-Building, Consciousness Raising, Transformation
We have been taught all of these things we need to be. We need to be strong and independent. We can’t ask for help. We need to be in control. We have to protect and provide. We blame ourselves when we fall short of these rules. We lash out at the people around us when we fall short.
None of this serves us. We know our work is to unpack these things in us. We raise our consciousness of the systems that gives us the rules. We transform ourselves to give ourselves the capacity to work for collective liberation.
We must transform ourselves to transform the world.

Community & Culture
The work for collective liberation is sustained in community. We can’t all get free when we work in siloes. We come together to practice our values, raise our consciousness, and act. We name our values and live by them. When we cause harm or live outside our values, we work in community call each other in and repair.
Action
We can’t get free unless we work for it. The moral arc of the universe bends toward justice because people like us bend it. In the past we’ve worked on No on 2 In KY, worked with White Men Against MAGA, and…
